The Collapse of Communism

There were many factors which led to the collapse of communism in the USSR and all over the world( most of the countries). One of them happened during the late 1980s. During the late 1980s, particularly 1989 many of the European countries along the Eastern Bloc started to deny communism. Poland fell first and then down to Czechoslovakia, then Romania and so forth.

Communism was the government controlling the Society, meaning sealing from the people that should be actually getting paid more. Everyone had to be the same. Many people In Russia started to watch American Movies which showed the Russians how The Capitalists lived. The Russians wanted the same so they adapted their culture and as Mikheil came to power, he made the communist fade. As the Soviets turned into Capitalsts during 1990 and 1991, it spread the the Eastern Bloc for it to turn Capitalist too since there as no point of communism anymore.

The Berlin Wall was finally torn down as an official ending to the Cold War because it showed that the Soviet Union no longer supports communism.

Mikhail Gorbachev and the Collapse of Communism

Peristrokia- economic restructuring. People were able to open their own small business'.
Glasnost- openness, meaning the society had the ability to use speech to the government to improve its society.

Mikhail Gorbachev was a Russian Ruler that wanted Communism and no other society that can affect it. He wanted an arms race but realized during the 1960's and 70's that this can no longer happen so they wanted more of a democracy. Also more rights to people were given such as the Peristrokia. People were allowed to have small business like in America which is a Capitalst and a Democracy. Also Glanost was created which allowed people to speak a little in their society and part of the government.
As all of the above happened, the society started to clash. The people started realizing that society now is worse and they want to continue what they are doing which is adopted more of a cemocratic society rather than communist. Soon, elections come in to Russia. After that, Mikhail Gorbachev started to like democracy and favored Democratic power over an arms race which brought Russia to even a more higher chance of revolting and becoming Democratic.
Poland tried to leave communism and struggled out of it. The Polish Acrbishop became pope and supported a anti- communist movement. Poland struggled and struggled out of it and Hungary's communists disbanded because they saw what poland did and wanted the same. As poland and Germany were rebuilding their society and economy, east germany's communist also falled. Later germany's wall of berlin fell and allowed open borders. Romania also fell and so did many other countries. They adopted Democracya nd Capitalism and that spread all over.
